Creativity for Learning in Higher Education

Image-1 (2)

These are my reflections on the open course: Creativity for Learning in Higher Education. Each week has a different them and therefore will have a different page. As part of week 1 I was trying to find photos that reflected my approach to teaching to use in Wordfoto. This photo was taken in the Lake District whilst my sister Ruth (pictured) and I were scrambling on Great Gable, the reason I selected it is there are many paths through the mountains and as a teacher it is about guiding students along these paths and letting them choose which one to take. It is also about overcoming challenges. When you are walking in the mountains there can be many difficulties – weather, terrain, steepness, as a lecturer I see my role not necessarily as removing those challenges for students but helping them overcome them.
